Book II – CHAPTER II

The Great Caravan Race

I. Eligibility

  • Open to all Rohan players with at least level 30 character

II. Date and Schedules

  • EDONEH – RE-SCHEDULED to July 23, 2010 5:00PM to 7:00PM
  • OHN – July 15, 2010 5:00PM to 7:00PM
  • ARMENES – July 16, 2010 5:00PM to 7:00PM

III. Mechanics

  • GM’s will announce the start of the event at exactly 5:00PM
    • This is a “Guild Recruitment” plus “Escort the GM” mission event
    • There will be 3 NPC/GM characters present in the event

Garrick will belong to the “Wanderer’s” Guild
Wahrsager will belong to the “ArKai Cartel” Guild
Geheimnis will belong to the “Blades” Guild

  • Each GM will be the Guild Master of the respective Event Guilds.
  • At the start The GM’s will be recruiting 10 members initially at their home towns. These 10 players will be the “starting” force of the guilds.
  • Recruitment will be done by GM’s on random
  • The goal of each GM is to recruit as many members as they can advance faster to the finish line.
  • The “speed” of each GM’s advance will advance to the number of people that belongs to the guild
  • The rate of GM’s are as follows:

10 – 20 members = Normal Run
20 – 40 members = Mounted (80% Mobility Mount)
40 and above members = Mounted (Futura Eztora, 110% Mobility Mount)

  • The GM who reaches the “finish line” first will win the event
    • However, GM’s will not just recruit players actively. Certain conditions must be met before they can start recruiting. For the details, check “Story Arc Twist”

Story Arc Twist

The Race begins…

  • The 3 participating GM’s will race starting at Ezker Island (Located at the Kowarre region). The GM’s will also start recruiting 10 more members
  • Once a GM has 20 members, they can begin their advance to the finish line.
  • The “finish line” will be located at the Arena (Draht Region, near Etton)

The Greater the number, the faster the runner

  • The goal of the event is help the GM reach the finish line as fast as possible
    • The more members of the GM’s guild, the faster their advance will be (See above)
    • GM’s will only be able to recruit at specific point of the course called “Recruitment stops” During these stops, the GM’s will try to recruit as many members as they can. They are as follows:

First recruitment stop: Statue Studio (Kowarre Region). Recruitment Time: 10 Minutes
Last recruitment stop: Warrior Academy (Draht Region). Recruitment Time: 5 Minutes

Road Running Rage

  • As this is still a PVP based event, killing off members of another guild will in turn prevent a specific GM from running faster.
    • At any time that a GM has less number of members escorting them than what is required of a specific run speed, they “speed down” their advance.

Ex. Garrick’s guild the “Wanderers” has 35 members. He is cruising on a mount at 80% mobility. Meanwhile the members of the “Blades” Guild led by Geheimnis kills 15 members of the “Wanderers”. Garrick will then be forced to un-mount and travel a normal run speed.

Kill the Runner

  • Another way to stop a GM or guild’s advance is to actually kill of the GM of that guild.
  • GM’s will not be aggressive towards other players but they will show no mercy if they are attacked
  • Once attacked, a GM will try to clear the opposition until they have a clear path top advance.
  • Killing any of the above mentioned GM’s will render them unable to move for 2 minutes.
  • If a GM is killed 5 times, they are out of the event and is no longer part of the race.
Killing GM will of course have a last hit prize.

Every Race has its goal

  • Only the First guild will be declared as the winner. There are no 2nd or 3rd placers
    • Only the members of the winning guild will be awarded will in-game items (See Prizes)
    • Losing Guilds will get nothing.
    • In case there is a tie, all prizes gained will be nullified and no one will be awarded. Only one guild should win.
